Welcome to Chindy Cares, the heart of Shell Chinderah Bay. As a proud, family-owned and operated local business, the Tweed isn't just where we work, it is our home. We see firsthand the incredible people who keep this region thriving, and we wanted to find a way to give back to the community that has supported us for so long.
That is why we created Chindy Cares. Together with our amazing customers, we donate a total of $3,000 every two months to grassroots initiatives that matter. When you shop local with us, your money stays local. Every single visit makes a real, tangible difference right here in our own backyard.

Who Are We Supporting?
We focus our funding across four key pillars that keep the Tweed region strong:

We support local charities and crisis centres that provide essential care to those going through tough times. This ensures individuals and families in our own backyard get the helping hand they need to get back on their feet.
Community Clubs
Local sports and community groups are the heartbeat of the Tweed. We provide funding to help grassroots clubs operate, upgrade their gear, and continue bringing our community together.
Animals & Wildlife
We proudly support the dedicated local rescues and wildlife carers working tirelessly behind the scenes. This funding helps provide essential care, rehabilitation, and safe shelter for vulnerable animals across our region.
Environmental
From the Tweed River to our stunning coastlines, we are passionate about protecting our local environment. Your tokens help fund conservation initiatives aimed at keeping our waterways clean and preserving our natural beauty.

How Does Your Visit Help?
Shop In-Store
Every time you make a purchase in-store, we hand you a physical Chindy Cares token. It's our way of saying thank you for supporting local.
Cast Your Vote
Head over to our voting station and drop your token into the box of the local cause that speaks to your heart. You decide who gets the support.
The Community Wins
At the end of every two months, we tally the tokens. The cause with the most votes receives a $1,500 donation, and the two runners-up receive $750 each. Every group walks away with vital funding!
